George Municipality Hosts Successful Green Economy Help Desk in Partnership with GreenCape

The George Municipality’s Economic Development and Electro-Technical Services departments, in partnership with the Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning and the GreenCape Technical Team, last week successfully hosted a Green Economy Help Desk aimed at supporting businesses, entrepreneurs, and residents in their transition towards more sustainable and resource-efficient practices.

The initiative that was held at the George Banquet Hall provided businesses with direct, one-on-one consultations with green economy experts, offering technical, financial, and legal insights on key sectors such as renewable energy, water management, and sustainable agriculture. Participating businesses received comprehensive information packs designed to assist in decision-making for investments in renewable energy solutions and water-saving technologies.
