Former champion Louis Oosthuizen withdrew from the British Open Thursday after just eight holes.
Though it wasn’t immediately clear what forced the decision, ESPN reported the 2010 winner had been favoring his hamstring.
At the time of his withdrawal, Oosthuizen was 4-over par.
Oosthuizen had neck and hip injuries that led to withdrawals earlier this year, including his bowing out at the US Open last month.
