SWD Cricket has released the names of the fifteen members who will forms part of the 2017 SWD Cricket Academy intake. Various players with provincial first class experience like Mthobeli Bandingawo, Jean du Plessis, Todd Walker and Murray Commins form part of the academy.
The squad is: Mthobeli Bandingawo, Ayabongo Khitshine, Dylen Nuys, Coenie Nel, Jean du Plessis, Bayley Aarons, Levin Muller, Todd Walker, Grant Esau, Bradley de Villiers, Athenkosi Mapona, Marco de Kock, Josh Klue, Ruan Moolman and Murray Commins.
